I used several effecs to twist the image, and also using the colors to bind them making look more smooth.Use diferent layers on the image with contrast effect to get more effective =]

If you did anything in a graphics program, it's probably a manipulation.

Actually digital i do make some manipulation, but not in this case.
I use several lens flare and used 3 or 4 layers and make them as one increasing the contrast and take it out of focus.Done that i used the twist tool again to make it look smooth and gain some velocity.
This is not a photo, i did only in corel 10, but i do not found the right category to fit in.sorry about that.
